Good Morning, Lord

Today I am reviewing the book "Good Morning, Lord I Don't Know Where You're Going Today But I'm Going with You." By Sheila Walsh. First off, I would like to say that this book has a beautiful cover! I love the way it feels and I couldn't wait to open it! In the Forward, she talks about how sometimes it is hard to wake up and get your day started. I am one of those people. I drag and drag! This book has been a great addition to my mornings! The set up of this book is "Good Morning Lord!" and then every day there is a new "thing" that you are set out to accomplish for the day or to examine your life about. For example, "Good Morning, Lord! Today I will take a step toward freedom and away from my brokenness in my past." There is a journaling place every day, along with a prayer and a scripture for the day. This would be a great gift book. It really makes you think about how to change your life scripturely on a daily bases.

The Propecy Answer Book by David Jeremiah

I really liked "The Propecy Answer Book" by David Jeremiah. I think it would be a awesome gift book. Sometimes the Bible is hard to understand, and it it even harder to understand what it going to happen to us in the "End Times". This book is full of scripture and also really makes you think about things. I think that one of the most interesting parts is in the "Current Events" section. It talks about how Oil and The Garden Of Eden have something in common. It talks about how the Garden of Eden was located east of Israel, before the Great Flood. It says "I had never before imagined that the gasoline I pump into my car might be the ruined remains of the rich, vast foliage of The Garden of Eden." It also talks about The Rapture, The Tribulation, The Antichrist, The Second Coming, and The Millennium, The New Heaven and the New Earth.

God's Promises for Boys : By Jack Counryman and Amy Parker

God's Promises for Boys
By Jack Countryman & Amy Parker

I really enjoyed this book! As a parent of a one year old, I know that in a few years the questions will be comming! I think this book will be very helpful! I already use it with my 1st through 3rd graders that I teach at church. I like the questions, like "Does God ever sleep?" The book is set up with 7 sections such as "God's Promises When…," "God's Promises About…," and "God Wants You To.." It is very easy to use. I think that this is a must have book for little kids, and I think it would really be helpful for new Christian parents to have on hand.

If I Could Ask God Anything- By:Kathryn Slattery

In the book ,"If I Could Ask God Anything." Mrs. Slattery explained the answers to many questions that children may ask. The book is broken into eleven chapters with several questions in each chapter. Some of the questions are simple questions that young children may ask like, "Does God ever sleep?" or "Is Jesus' last name Christ?" Which is good for Sunday School classes and there are some geared more towards the youth group age, like "Help! What should I do if I think a church service is boring?"and "Is it true that Christians can't have any fun?"I think this is a great book for any Christian parent or sunday school/ youth leader to keep on hand. Some times you can't remember where the answers are, it is nice to have a resource like this with the scripture documented to help you find it in the Bible. It also talks about Baptism and Communion things that new Christians whould find helpful. I really enjoyed this book, and I will be using it with my Sunday school class, the youth group my husband teaches, and our one year old son as he grows up. Thanks so much Booksneeze and Thomas Nelson for providing me with a complimentary copy of this book or advanced reading to review for free.

Will The World End In 2012? By Raymond C. Hundley

Will The World End In 2012? Normally when I hear someone talk about this I turn the other way. I decided to read this book because of the cover. "A Christian guide to the question every one's asking". That really caught my eye. What do other Christians think about this? The author Raymond C. Hundley wrote twelve chapters about the different views and theories there are floating around about the world ending in 2012. The topics are over things like "The Mayan Factor", "Predictions of Nostradamus", "Solar Storms", and the "Religious Predictions of the End of the World". It is very informative, and you can tell that he has done his research. He clearly explains each topic in easy terms. I really didn't know there were so many diffrent predictions, and especially for the same exact day. "December 21, 2012". My favorite part of the book as a Christian is that he tells the plan of salvation in the end of the book. I think this is a great idea! I beleive that Mr. Hundley's personal views are the same as mine. We do not know when the end of the world will be, but Jesus has to come back first, and we need to be ready to be called up with him!
